Need a hand?

Email us and a person will read it. Tell us what you were doing and what happened, and if it’s about a specific plan or group, mention its name — it makes it much quicker to sort out.

Cadence is a small project, so replies come from one person rather than a support desk. We aim to get back to you within a few days.

Common questions

I didn’t get my sign-in email.
Check your spam folder first — the sign-in link often lands there the first time. The link has to be opened on the same device you requested it from. If it still hasn’t arrived after a few minutes, request another one; there’s a short cooldown per address, so give it a moment before trying again.
I’ve fallen behind on my plan. Do I have to start over?
No. Open the plan and tap Resolve, and Cadence offers three options: skip the missed days, compress them into the days you have left (same end date, a bit more per day), or extend the plan and keep your normal pace. Catch-up isn’t available on a group plan, because the plan’s dates are shared.
Can I change a plan after I’ve started it?
Yes. You can edit any individual day of a plan, right down to a specific verse range, from the plan editor.
Who can see whether I’ve done my reading?
Nobody, unless you turn sharing on. Cadence asks when you create or join a group and defaults to not sharing. Even with sharing on, the group sees only whether you finished each day’s reading — your streak and your day-by-day calendar stay private.
How do people join my group?
With the invite code shown on the group’s screen. There is no public directory, so the code is the only way in. If a code gets out, the group’s creator can regenerate it, which stops the old one working immediately.
What happens to my plan if I leave a group?
You keep it. Joining a group gives you your own copy of the shared plan, so your schedule and everything you’ve marked done stay with you. You’d need the invite code again to rejoin.
Which translations are available?
ESV, CSB, and the public-domain WEB (World English Bible), ASV (1901) and KJV. You choose one in Settings → Reading, and it applies across the app.
Can I read offline?
Not currently. Passage text is fetched when you open a reading, so Cadence needs a connection to show you the text and to sync your progress.
The text is too small.
Settings → Reading has four text sizes and three typefaces. One of them is Atkinson Hyperlegible, which is designed specifically to be easier to read for people with low vision.
My reminder isn’t arriving.
Check that notifications are allowed for Cadence in your device settings — if permission was denied, the app can’t schedule anything. Battery-saving modes can also delay or suppress notifications. Note that the daily reminder fires at the time you set regardless of whether you’ve already read that day.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Delete account. It’s immediate and permanent, and removes your plans, everything you’ve marked done, your group memberships, your messages and your reactions — and deletes any groups you created for everyone in them. The app spells this out before you confirm.
Someone is being abusive in a group.
Email us at the address above with the group name and what happened, and we’ll look into it. If you’re the group’s creator you can remove the member yourself, and regenerate the invite code so they can’t rejoin.
